God told Satan that Job feared God. You know you have been a faithful disciple if God can boast about you to Satan – since Satan goes roaming around the world and knows all about everyone’s private life.

It is amazing that someone who lived even before the Law was given, and centuries before the new covenant was established, he could make such a decision to be holy, without the Bible, without the Holy Spirit, and without a church or friends to encourage him and challenge him.

Joseph is another great example for us to follow. He was a young man living far from his family. And yet when he tempted by a sinful woman day after day, he resisted her constantly and ran away from her, because he feared God.

The examples of Joseph and Job show us that the fear of God alone is sufficient to keep us from terrible sins such as sexual lust.

We must continually fight the battle of sexual temptation until we come to total purity.

We must press on to be as pure as Jesus was in this area.

It is written that the disciples were surprised when they saw Jesus once talking to a woman. That was his testimony.
