In verse twelve, Jesus announces that he is coming back. In verse thirteen, Jesus says some of his titles. In verse fourteen, Jesus says that the ones who wash their robes will be able to enter the new heaven and earth. The people who wash their robes are those who seek to purify themselves from their sinful lifestyles. They strive daily to be like Christ and are prepared for the second coming of Christ. Because Adam and Eve sinned, they were not permitted to eat of the tree of life. Christ says in this verse that those who have purified themselves through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ will be able to have full rights to the tree of life.

Revelation 22:12-14
12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.
