When we pray, we must tell God our petitions. Then tomorrow, we must come back and tell God our petitions. God wants us to learn to depend on him on a daily basis. While the world celebrates independence, God always celebrates dependence. When the Israelites were in the desert, God provided manna for them so they could survive. We must notice why God told Moses to tell the people to get only the one day’s amount of food. God was trying to teach the Israelites to be dependent on him for their health and resources. God never lacks anything, so we can always communicate to him through prayers about our problems. As we continually come before the throne of our Father, we will get used to it, and we will be able to rest in the provision of our caring God. We will also figure out that the better we hunger and thirst for God, the more satisfied we are about our daily troubles. Let us as Christians take this seriously. We do not need to have independence in this world to be successful, but we must have full dependence on a loving and caring God.
