There are certain characteristics that the First Cause must have in order to be in accordance to the evidence discussed.

1. The First Cause must be self-existent, timeless, immaterial, and non-spatial. This means that since the First Cause created time, space, and matter, the First Cause must be outside of time, space, and matter. In other words, he must be without limits, or infinite.
2. First Cause must be in incomprehensibly powerful, to create the entire universe out of nothing.
3. First Cause must be supremely intelligent in order to design the universe with such precision; we must will discuss the specifics soon.
4. Finally, the Creator must be personal, in order to choose to convert a state of nothingness into the time-space-material universe suitable for our survival.

These characteristics of the First Cause directly correlate with the characteristics theists ascribe to God.

After hearing the evidence for the existence of God, we can be confident and challenge the beliefs of anyone who claim to not believe in God.

“If there is no God, why is there something rather than nothing?” is a question we all have to answer.

In light of the evidence, we are left with two options: either no one created something out of nothing, or else someone created something out of nothing.

Which view is more reasonable? Nothing created something? No. The most reasonable view is God.

Robert Jastrow suggested this when he ended his book “God and the Astronomers” with the classic line: “For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.”
