In verse eighteen, it states that the wrath of God will be for the wickedness of men that chose to suppress the truth. God is angry at sinful people because they have substituted the truth about him with a lie. God cannot tolerate sin because his nature is morally perfect He cannot simply overlook such willful rebellion. God wants to restore and rescue the sinner, and he is able to, as long the sinner does not stubbornly reject the gospel. God’s anger erupts against those who willingly continue to sin. We must make sure we are not pursuing a lie rather than the true God.
