In verses 26-27, it states that God gave the sinners over to their shameful lusts. It also states that women had exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones as well as men. God’s plan for natural sexual relationships was first started in Eden. God’s plan was for a man and a woman to be bonded in holy matrimony. Unfortunately, sin distorts the natural use of God’s gift. Sin often means not only denying God, but also denying the way we were made. Because sex is such a powerful and essential part of what it means to be human, it must be treated with respect. Sexual desires are so important that the Bible gives them special attention above every other human desire. One of the most prominent factors of a society rebelling against God is their unbiblical use of sex.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
