The Jewish nation had many advantages. They were entrusted with God’s laws. They were the race that Jesus was born through. God gave them many covenants and promises. But these privileges did not make them better than anyone else. Because of all these privileges, the Jews were even more responsible for living up to God’s requirements. In the upcoming verses, Paul explains that sin is something to never overlook.
