In verses six to eight, it states that when Jesus died for our sins, God gave us a clean slate and “forgot” all the sins we have done, been doing, and will do. But for us- how will we take away our guilt from our sins?  

King David was guilty of his different sins, but he had joy in the forgiveness of God the Father. We too can feel this joy of forgiveness. 

1. First, we need to deny our guilt and recognize that we have sinned. 
2. Second, we must admit and confess our sins to God and ask for his forgiveness. 
3. Finally, we must let go of our guilt and believe that God has forgiven us. 

We should never be ashamed of our own past sinful life. Jesus is willing to forgive every sin. We might think that we are not good enough God’s grace, but the Word states that God has forgiven everyone who believes in him no matter what anyone has ever done.

Romans 4:6-8
6 just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works:
7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,
and whose sins are covered;
8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.”
