When we pray, we are directly talking to our Heavenly Father. We can pray to God when we are sad and lonely, and we can pray to Him for our needs. Prayer is very powerful, and with prayer, God can do the impossible.

After Jesus ascended to heaven, His disciples started to tell everyone about Him and His love. A king did not like this and arrested some of the disciples and Peter was one of them. The king sent Peter to prison. While Peter was waiting for his punishment from the king, the church was praying hard, and God heard the prayers. In the middle of the night, Peter was sleeping next to two soldiers, and then an angel appeared. The angel took off Peter’s chains and led him away from the soldier’s defense and Peter was saved from certain punishment.

We all take prayer for granted sometimes. We must realize that prayer is a chance to commune with the King of the universe. Let us use this benefit of talking to our Father about our needs and struggles, and God can always do the impossible with the ultimate power of prayer.

Acts 12:5

So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.
