There are many other things we must do in order to provide an adequate response as a Christian. Don’t think too highly of yourself. It is a measure of your faith- not a measure of your knowledge or zeal- which is the real gauge of your spirituality.

You must fulfill your ministry with whatever gifts and talents God has given you, to build the Body of Christ. Do not bury it in the ground, as the man with one talent did.

We must be zealous in serving the Lord and pray frequently.

You must also hate what is evil and cling to what is good. Love and honor all the brothers- for they are younger sisters and brothers of Jesus. Be good to them. Rejoice when something goes well with any of them and grieve with those who are in sorrow. Have a humble attitude towards all- especially toward the destitute.

Finally, we must love and bless all people, especially those who do evil to you. Live at peace with all. Never take vengeance or desire anything malicious for those who have bad to you.

The whole world is full of people who try to overcome evil with more evil. Only good can conquer evil because good is more powerful than evil. This is what Jesus showed on Calvary.

These are all ways to prove to God that we are indeed grateful to Him for all that He has done for us, for the richness of His mercy towards us in forgiving again and again.
