No soldier in the army would go into battle without his/her protective armor and mighty weapons. In Biblical times, the soldiers would have multiple pieces of their body armor. Apostle Paul uses the armor to illustrate to us the weapons we must carry every day of the Christians’ walk.

The first piece of armor is the belt of truth. This belt keeps everything together, and by having this we as Christians will be able to stand up for our faith.

The breastplate of the armor is the piece of armor that protects the soldier’s heart. By using this, we as Christians will be able to shield our hearts from anything that is evil.

Good shoes help the soldiers stay firm. The Good News of Christ is the footwear of all Christians. When we wear these shoes, we are at peace with God.

The shield protects soldiers from the enemies’ arrows. the shield protects us from the attacks of Satan. The shield of faith helps us stay strong against all temptations.

Let us use the armor of God for our benefit and let us be mighty ambassadors for God’s kingdom and opponents in Satan’s.

Ephesians 6:14-17

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
