Posted by Jonathan Merigala God’s rules are not supposed to diminish our lives, but these rules will add to it. God had Moses write down the entire law in Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers. He wanted Moses write down the law because he loves us, and he wants the best for us. In the Ten Commandments, God has given light that will point out what will hurt us in our lives. The Ten Commandments are a complete description of pure good that God has given to his people. The law is basically a mirror to check us and to make us admit that we are a sinner. Let us not think that the law of God is a burden and obstacle in our lives. We must realize that God wrote out his law because he loves us and wants us to prosper, and he wrote the law out because we need Jesus to cleanse us of all our sins. Through this self-examination, we will be able to be closer to God in an intimate relationship.
Deuteronomy 6:24
The Lord commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the Lord our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today.
