Paul states that students should take care of the material needs of their teachers. It is easy to receive the benefit of good Bible teaching and then take our spiritual leaders for granted, ignoring their physical and financial needs. We should always take care of our teachers, not grudgingly or out of reluctance, but with a generous spirit, showing honor and appreciation for everything they have done.

It would certainly be surprising if we planted corn and pumpkins came up. It is natural to reap what we sow. It applies to many other areas. If we gossip about our friends, we will might lose their friendship. Every action has results. If we plant to fulfill our own desires, we will reap a crop of evil and sorrow. If we plant in order to please God, we will reap joy and everlasting life. What kind of seeds are we sowing?

Galatians 6:6-8
6 Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
