You must be alert about temptations wherever you go. Provocative television-images and pictures and articles in books and magazines can be a great snare. Remember that whatever you once choose to place in your mind will remain there forever. You can be forgiven if you repent but there will always be repercussions. You can never erase what you absorb into your memory. You can only hope to have it pushed down to the bottom of your memory storehouse so that it does not come back to harass you in your dreams and thoughts. And that pushing down can take place only as you fill up the top levels of your memory’s storehouse with God’s Word.
