In verse eight and nine, John states that he worships the angel, but the angel denies the worship and tells him to worship God. John was able to be a first-hand eyewitness to what God has shown which gives his descriptions of the vision the highest credibility. The angel instructs John to worship God, and worship is one of the main themes of Revelations. When we see things that awestruck and amaze us, we tend to worship these things for its own glorification. But we must remember that it is just the creation that looks astonishing to us. We must always fix our eyes on our Creator who has created all the wonders we see today. He alone deserves the praise.

Revelation 22:8-9
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. 9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll. Worship God!”
