It is very important that we overcome Satan’s accusations by confessing that the blood of Jesus has justified us.

There is a big difference between justification and forgiveness.

If a person is charged in a court and the charges are proved against him, but the judge lets him off because the man is unrepentant, he can walk out of the courtroom happy but with his head hanging down—for he is a forgiven criminal.

If on the other hand, the judge, after carefully examining all the charges against him, finds all the charges to be false and declares the man to be 100% righteous, then he leaves the court with his head held high—because no guilt was found in him and has been declared righteous.

Many believers have their heads hanging down because they have not understood the power of the blood of Christ to justify them. They have only heard of its power to forgive them.

Hebrews 8:12 says God will not remember our sins anymore. That means he looks on us just as if we had never sinned in our entire life. God’s mercies are new every morning.

This is why we should never allow feelings of condemnation to come upon you at any time—for that is unbelief in the mercy and goodness of God.

Satan gets power over us whenever he allows us to be discouraged or feel condemned.

We do not devote ourselves to the Lord by fear or judgment, but by responding to His tremendous goodness and kindness in repeatedly forgiving us so much.
