While Jesus was going to Jerusalem, Jesus went through this small village. While Jesus was in this small village, there were ten lepers that caught His attention. Leprosy was contagious, and it was a severe skin disease. Lepers were considered outcasts in society, because if you had leprosy you can never be near other people. They cried Jesus show kindness to us. Jesus had compassion on them, and He told them to show themselves to the priest. While lepers were walking to the temple, every one of them was healed of their skin disease and all of them rejoiced. The most surprising thing that happened was only one leper came back to Jesus. Jesus asked the leper where are the other lepers.

God does so much for us and lets us prosper in many ways. We sometimes take for granted the kindness and love of our God. When God does something great for us, it is the least we can do but we must thank him for his miracle in our lives. The lepers were seen as outcasts in society, and were not allowed to come into the city to worship and be with their families. Jesus felt their burden and permanently saved them from such a despised life. Let us as God’s people not be like the nine lepers who took God for granted, but let us be like that one leper who realized that God did this for us because He loved us, and we must always express our gratitude.
