Posted by Jonathan Merigala In verse two John sees the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down as a bride dressed for her husband. In verse three, it basically states that God will dwell with His people. The new Jerusalem is where God lives among his people. Instead of us going to God, God comes down to dwell with His people. God’s example of His love is Him becoming man, so that He could live with us on earth. Wherever God is the ruler, there will always be peace, security, and love.
Revelation 21:2-3
2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
