When Jesus was doing great miracles, people followed him wherever He went. One day Jesus traveled to Capernaum to preach the Word, and he distinctively preached mostly in a small house. Many people wanted to see the miracles of Jesus, so the house was so packed that there was no room for one more person to stand. However, there were five friends. Four of them helped the fifth friend get to Jesus because he was paralyzed. The house was overflowing with people, so there was no way to bring the paralyzed man into the house. The four friends who wanted healing of their friend went up to the roof of the house. There the four men carved a hole from the roof, and they gently brought the man down in front of Jesus in the middle of the house. Jesus saw the four friends had great faith, and he healed the paralyzed man. Everyone was amazed of Jesus’ great power.

We must be like these four great friends. When you have a dear friend or family member that does not know Jesus or anyone else, we must never stop our efforts in bringing them to Jesus – no matter what it takes. In the end if they accept the Gospel, we have just saved one soul from permanently burning in hell. Let us not give up in our efforts to minister the Gospel, so we can fulfill the Great Commission and save souls from eternal torment.
