Posted by Jonathan Merigala This verse is one of the most talked about verses in Christianity. In this Paul reassures us that if we are in Christ, all things will work for the better. This does not mean that all that happens to us is good. Evil is widespread in this world, but God is able to turn every circumstance for the better. We must note that God is not working to make us happy but to fulfill his purpose. We must also note that this promise is not for everybody. It can be claimed only by those who are called by Holy Spirit to accept the Word of God. These people trust in God, not life’s treasures; they look for their security in heaven, not earth; they learn to accept hardships they face because Christ is with them.
Romans 8:28
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.
