Posted by Jonathan Merigala You may often be in the place where you have to choose between the pearl of greatest price and a pearl of lesser price. Satan may offer you a certain glory of this world if you will bow down the knee to him just a little. Jesus too was tempted.
There will certainly be something attractive to the flesh about the things that Satan offers you. But that is where the Lord will test you to see whether you are willing to give up something earthly for this Name’s sake.
It is easy for any activity to become an idol if it takes you away from your heavenly Father. It is when you give up something very precious that you prove that you really love the Lord more than anything else in this world.
