In verse thirty, Paul tells his brothers to join him in his struggle in praying to God. We often see prayer as a time of comfort or making requests to God. In this verse, Paul urges believers to join him in his struggle by means of prayer. Prayer is a weapon that all believers should use for interceding for others. Many of us know missionaries out there who live in difficult places or scenarios to preach the gospel. Sending them regards or funds is part of joining them in their struggles, but prayer is also a crucial way of being with them. Missionaries desire the prayers of those who have sent them out. Currently, in Costa Rica, a group of seniors from Red Lion Christian Academy is being missionaries for the sake of the gospel. Let us lift them up in their prayers as well as the many others who are sacrificing their money and time for the sake of the Great Commission.

Romans 15:30-33
30 I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. 31 Pray that I may be kept safe from the unbelievers in Judea and that the contribution I take to Jerusalem may be favorably received by the Lord’s people there, 32 so that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed. 33 The God of peace be with you all. Amen.
