Paul next gives his greetings to Priscilla and Aquila. Priscilla and Aquila were a married couple who had become Paul’s close friends. They, along with other Jews, had been expelled from Rome by the emperor and had moved to Corinth. There they met Paul and invited him to live with them. They were Christians before Paul, so they told him all about the Roman Church. Priscilla and Aquila were missionaries and helped believers in Rome and Ephesus. In verse five Paul gives his greetings to the Romans and Greeks. In verse seven, Paul greets Andronicus and Junias. The fact that Andronicus and Junias were “outstanding among the apostles” could mean they had distinguished themselves as apostles.
Paul notes that they were “relatives” (fellow Jews) who were with Paul in prison one time.

Romans 16:3-7
3 Greet Priscilla[a] and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus. 4 They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.
5 Greet also the church that meets at their house.
Greet my dear friend Epenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in the province of Asia.
6 Greet Mary, who worked very hard for you.
7 Greet Andronicus and Junia, my fellow Jews who have been in prison with me. They are outstanding among[b] the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was.
