We all know that Solomon was King David’s son and was the next king. Before King Solomon started his reign, God appeared to him in a vision. God had told Solomon for anything he wants as a favor of being King David’s son. Solomon could have picked riches or destruction of all his enemies, but even at a young age he picked wisdom. Solomon realized even at that time that he could not run this kingdom by himself. Solomon humbles himself before God, and God blesses him. Not only did Solomon become the wisest man that ever set foot on this earth, but he was also the richest. He even got the privilege to build the magnificent temple of God for his people.

We as Christians must learn from Solomon’s decision that we cannot do anything without God’s help. When we bow down and humble ourselves before the Father, then He will bless us beyond our imagination. Let us never be prideful and remember that anything we do must be done by God’s wisdom.

Proverbs 1:7

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools[a] despise wisdom and instruction.
