In verse one, Paul states that we should not pass judgement on someone else because that means that we would be condemning ourselves because we do the same things. Whenever we find ourselves feeling justifiably angry about someone’s sin, we should be careful. We need to speak out against sin, but we must do in a sense of humility. Often the sins we recognize clearly from others are the same ones that have taken root in us. Instead of condemning the certain person of their sins, we must come out of humility to help the person come out of their sin by counseling and nurturing them through personal experiences and Scripture.

Romans 2:1
2 You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
