In this verse, Paul reinstates how every guilty person must respond to God, and he emphasizes that we do not find our hope in the law but through it become conscious of our sin. The last time someone accused us of wrongdoing, what is our normal reaction… Denial, argument, and defensiveness? The Bible tells us the world stands silent accountable before Almighty God. No excuses or arguments are accepted by God in the end. If you have not accepted Christ as your loving Savior, God is waiting for you to join his family and leave your individual excuses and arguments behind.

Romans 3:19
19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.
