In verses six and seven, Paul talks about the “secret wisdom” that we have when we accept Christ. God’s “secret wisdom…that has been hidden” was his offer of salvation to all people. God’s plan was a mystery to all of the humanity. This plan became crystal clear when Christ rose from the dead. Christ’s resurrection proved that he had power over sin and death. However, God plan is still hidden to unbelievers because they refuse to accept it, choose to ignore it, or simply have not heard about it. Jesus was misunderstood and rejected by those whom the world considered wise and great. He was put to death by the rulers in Palestine. This shows that what we call wisdom is not always the right path to take concerning our everyday decisions.

1 Corinthians 2:6-8
6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
